Job description:
Position: Pastry Maker (Portuguese Pastries) - NOC 63202
Wage: $30.00 per hour; 40 hours per week
Location of Work: 3816 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M9B 6C2
Job Description:
- Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread and all other Portuguese traditional specialties including Portuguese cream tarts “pastel de nata” and “bolo rei”
- Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
- Prepare dough, icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Bake mixed doughs and batters
- Decorate cakes, pastries and other baked goods
- Ensure quality of baked products meet our standards
- Place orders for baking supplies
- Determine type and quantity of pastries to produce
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience
- Specialization in Portuguese pastries
