Location: Mississauga, ON, L4Z 1V9

Salary: $55.00 per hour for 30 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and make financial decisions to optimize project profitability.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance and managing contract changes.
  • Oversee all construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Lead and manage construction teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by implementing quality control measures and inspections.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success and minimizing liabilities.
  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Oversee financial reports related to project performance and profitability.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field is typically required. 
  • Extensive experience of 5 years or more in construction management is essential.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate construction teams and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
  • Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis, to ensure project profitability.
