Job description:

Wage: $32.69 p/hour (full-time permanent position)

Location of Work:  Various locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Job Description:

• Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for drywall and framing installations
• Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
• Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
• Order material for ongoing projects
• Provide constructive solutions to problems on-site
• Prepare digital construction details for clients
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Co-ordinate contracts/projects and workers on-site to achieve deadlines and prepare progress schedules

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in execution of civil projects
• Able to prepare complex drawings and construction details with AutoCAD 2D
• Able to prepare complex material take offs
• Able to read, interpret complex blueprints
• High level with estimation software (Plan Swift)
• Post-secondary education
