Early childhood educator (ECE) assistant

• Location: 3000 Victoria Park Ave, suite 95, North York, ON M2J 4Y2, Canada.
• Workplace information: On site (Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely).
• Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Total Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per Week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment/Full time
• Work Conditions: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, On Call, Overtime, To be determined
• Start date: Starts as soon as possible

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, preparing crafts.
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavior programs and guide their parents & supervisor.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
• Observe activities of children while playing.
• Engage and work collaboratively as a team member with all the staff of the daycare centre.
• Maintain regular and open communication with peers and discuss the progress issue with the Early childhood educator.
