OPUS Vancouver in the heart of Yaletown neighbourhood, is a boutique lifestyle hotel offering unparalleled luxury experiences. We offer spacious rooms and suites, with vibrant colour palettes and sophisticated amenities, and revel in on-site dining, with house-made pizza and Italian fare at Capo and delectable cocktails at The Spritz.
Our business is expanding and we are looking to furnish Hotel Manager (TEER 60031) position immediately with a passion for hospitality at our location at 322 Davie Street, Vancouver BC V6B 5X6.
Total postions:1, Salary: $28.95 per hour / 35 hrs per week. Terms of Employment: Full time Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend. Language required: English; Education: Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management; Experience: 2-3 years.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support as needed for sales and promotional activities related to OPUS.
- Monitor and adapt to business levels to maintain labour costs within budget.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.
- Manage and supervise Guest Service Agents, Bell Service Agents, Housekeeping, and Room Service teams.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage Managers to address and resolve issues impacting OPUS.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the property at all times.
- Oversee the safety of both guests and staff, particularly during emergencies, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emergency protocols, including fire panel operations.
- Uphold a consistently positive and energetic attitude in all communications.
- Be well-versed in WHMIS standards and adhere to safe work procedures.
- Set and uphold the highest standards of service excellence, ensuring the team consistently meets the same expectations.
- Capable of maintaining a high standard of service across a variety of tasks, with a strong attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective supervision and motivation of staff.
- Proficient in OPERA/OPERA Cloud/Micros Systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Comprehensive understanding of local attractions and restaurants to enhance the guest experience.
- Has a strong background in the luxury hotel segment with a focus on direct guest interaction.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid BC driver's license.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
