Nature of position: Permanent, full-time 40 hours per week
Wage: $40.02 - $43.19 per hour (dependent on experience)
Vacation: 10 days (4%) after one year working for the employer, and 15 days (6%) after two years working for the employer
Language required: English, spoken and written
Other benefits: Extended medical, dental, pension of $4.74 per hour

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair truck / trailer refrigeration units, AC Equipment, container refrigeration units and Generator sets
- Ensure all work completed meets or exceeds Thermo King BC standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
- Complete preventative maintenance work on refrigeration units
- Diagnose, repair, and replace refrigeration parts or units and AC equipment
- Collaborate with service team to ensure an excellent experience for the customer
- Respond to emails and calls in a professional and timely manner
- Overcome issues and solve problems on a daily basis
- Be available for the on call service rotation
REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:
- At least two years of experience in any of the following fields: transport refrigeration, automotive technician, heavy duty technician, or diesel engine mechanic
- Diagnose faults and issues with refrigeration units
- Perform preventative maintenance work on refrigeration units
- Troubleshoot and repair AC systems
- Multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Professionally communicate verbally and in writing
- Work effectively as both a team player and an individual contributor
- Read wiring diagrams and diagnose electrical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Possess piping skills: sil-fos / silver soldering
- Have your own tools
- Valid Class 5 driver's license or ability to secure one before work begins
