Terms of Employment: Permanent,Full Time

Salary:$36.10 Hourly, for 35 Hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Available Positions: 1

Location: 1555, 7e Avenue Ouest, Suite 220 - V6J1S1, Vancouver - BC - Canada


Skill Requirements:


• Education:No formal education required
• Minimum 2 years of experience are required
• Languages: Written and Oral English and French are required


Duties:


• Contribute to the analysis of the tourism sector and then to the development and implementation of an annual
action plan to meet the economic development objectives of Francophone tourism
• Understand market trends and adjust the action plan, tools, and services based on observed trends
• Enhance the inventory of provincial tourism businesses offering services in French, and promote them to the
media and travel organizers, across national and international Francophone communities
• Develop tools and products to promote economic development and employment in the tourism industry
sectors
• Collaborate on national projects, organize and coordinate events or workshops, and establish marketing
strategies working within the tourism sector
• Provide specific services for the clientele in their sector in collaboration with the business services team
(e.g.: organize and make training sessions available for entrepreneurs, offer or find services to facilitate
business partnerships, organize and maintain networks of entrepreneurs, organize and maintain mentorship
services, etc.)
• Update and improve already developed tourism promotion products: website, social media
• Feed social media and the website for the tourism sector
• Plan or participate in projects promoting economic development
• Write analyses and recommendations
• Prepare documents and draft activity reports to describe the nature and impact of the activities carried out,
when required by management and funders
• Take charge of or collaborate on other administrative tasks requested by the Business Services Directorate
(operational plan, strategic plan, reports for funders, funding requests, etc.)
