Looking for an Assistant General Manager for Tacofino Ocho in Vancouver, BC!
Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world inspired food with the best possible ingredients. We have since grown and have added food trucks and locations across Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

Employment Condition(s):
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Working Location: 8 East 5th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T 1G8
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Wage: Annually $52,000
Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting a team to achieve high levels of quality in service and food
- Supporting the GM to align your team to restaurant objectives
- Providing support in ongoing training opportunities to develop employee hard skills, soft skills, and product knowledge
- Supporting the GM in providing opportunities for ongoing growth and development for your team
- Promoting a positive work environment and culture by creating and maintaining strong and supportive relationships with all staff
- Working with the leadership team in getting closely involved in the community through fundraisers, events, etc.
- Recognizing good performance and supporting employees when improvement is needed
- Maintaining staffing targets by hiring and training staff
- Support with schedule creation and tracking of all time off, including vacation and sick days
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- A minimum of 1 year of food service experience in supervisory/managerial capacity.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to resolve conflict.
- Serving it right in BC and First Aid are considered assets.
