Job Description:
- Study blueprints and diagrams to determine the method of installation and tool requirements.
- Assembles and installs metal framing and ceiling grids, and doorways.
- Mark cutting lines on material, using Chalk Line, and pencil.
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Sanding, trimming excess compound, rough edges of wallboard.
- Smoothing the rough surfaces by coating them with desired material
- Cut fixtures or border tiles to size, using appropriate tools, and insert them into surrounding frameworks.
- Installs blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation.
- Seal joints between ceiling tiles and walls.
Requirements:
- High school education is required.
- Post-secondary education and/ or minimum one year experience in the field.
