About the hospital:

Albion Animal Hospital in Maple Ridge, BC is a veterinary hospital. A range of services are provided in the hospital like Radiology, In-house blood testing, General Surgery, Dentistry, Spy and Neutering and Vaccinations.

We are, currently, hiring for a Veterinary Technician for our clinic. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Maple Ridge, BC. The candidate must be a team player who is friendly, patient, and enthusiastic with clients and their pets and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. It is essential that they possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, have great attention to detail, and can multitask.

Job responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarian with animals before, during and after surgery
• Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
• Prepare and administer medications and treatment under the direction of veterinarian.
• Communicate with clients about animal care and discuss discharge instructions.
• Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
• Maintain animal records by documenting animal conditions, reactions, and changes, updating the database.

Job requirements:

• Minimum 2 or 3-year College diploma/degree in health/veterinary is required.
• Experience as a Veterinary Technician will be an asset but not mandatory.
• Applicant must be fluent in English.
