POSITION:Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist (NOC 22212)

Employer details: Mainland Engineering Design Corporation

Location: Surrey, BC

Salary: CDN $32/hr for 30 to 40 hours a week

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full time

Start date: As soon as possible

Job requirements: -

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or Other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 yrs

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Job Duties:

• Prepare engineering designs and drawings

• Create building information models (BIM), using computer software, to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of buildings and other engineering projects
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
• Develop and prepare design sketches
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
• Prepare contracts and tender documents
• Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
