Position - Recruitment assistant
Job Description Position:
- Performing recruitment duties such as scheduling interviews, updating the calendar, accordingly, answering phone calls, and monitoring emails.
- Perform clerical duties like emailing, handling paperwork, and processing background checks including verifying candidates’ qualifications and experience.
- Review applications and screen candidates.
- Preparing and posting job advertisements online on various websites.
- Closely work with the employers to know their requirements and sort candidates according to their needs.
- Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
- Review candidate inventories and contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and transfers, redeployment and placement of personnel.
- Assist candidates during the interview process, answering questions and providing them with key materials.
- Screening candidates by performing background checks.
- Following up with candidates during the recruitment process, like shortlisting callbacks or rejection emails.
- Assisting successful candidates with the onboarding process, including preparing documents and coordinating orientation agendas.
- Maintain recruitment metrics and produce reports for the HR department.
- Work with the Hiring Manager to ensure job requirements are clearly defined and met.
- Answer questions from candidates and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the hiring process.
Experience/Qualifications
- College, CEGEP or other non-university diploma.
- University Degree holders will be given preference.
- 1+ years of experience.
