Harman Elite Construction Ltd., located at 7086 Jasper Dr, Vernon, BC V1H 1P2 is seeking to
hire 2 Painters to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a hard-working,
experienced person to join our company.
Job Duties:
Reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount
of work necessary.
Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, setting up a ladder, covering
fixtures, etc.
Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing oldpaint, removing old wallpaper, etc.
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster)
Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
Apply varnish and other finishes.
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
Perform other related duties, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Completion of secondary education
2 - 3 years of work experience in the trade is required.
Skills:
Ability to work long hours, early morning, and weekends as required.
Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply them.
Aptitude in using appropriate tools.
Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc.
Ability to communicate in English.
We offer $29.00/hr for 40 hrs./week.
Location of work: Vernon and nearby sites
