Position Accountabilities

  • Oversee the security and safety of guests during the overnight shift, conducting nightly rounds of the property.
  • Supervise and operate the front office, including delegated tasks such as check-in/check-out procedures, guest inquiries, and reservation management.
  • Lead, motivate, and train associates to ensure an engaged, high-performing team.
  • Review front desk associates' work to ensure accuracy and efficiency in guest service delivery, providing timely feedback and performance reviews.
  • Create and manage work schedules for front desk staff, considering peak occupancy times and staff availability.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and effectively, exceeding guest expectations using brand standards.
  • Participate in the hiring process for front desk personnel, conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
  • Train new front desk staff in job duties, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and guest amenities, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.
  • Coordinate with purchasing departments or suppliers to procure the necessary supplies and materials.
  • Oversee the functionality of computer systems and equipment used at the front desk, arranging maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Support and maintain effective working relationships cross-functionally with all departments.
  • Assist and inform the AFOM and other Guest Services Managers on matters pertaining to front office operations and hotel development.
  • Assure active compliance with workplace health and safety practices while controlling expenses at the front desk.

 

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or related field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy in tasks like reservation management and billing.
