Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC 73300)
Terms of Employment: 50 hours per week, Full-time/ Permanent
Employment conditions: Day, Morning, Evening, Night, Overtime, Weekend
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $28.85 per hour
Overtime: 1.5 times the regular pay for every hour exceeding 60hrs/week
Benefits: As per company policy
Vacation Pay: 10 days paid vacation per year.

Job Duties:
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform brake adjustments.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
Education:
- Completion of Secondary school is required.
- Class 1 or A Driver’s License and Air brake endorsement are required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience is desirable. However, no experience is necessary. On the job trainingwill be provided to willing candidates.
Language:
- Proficiency to communicate in basic English.
