College/CEGEP- 2 years diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant is required
Experience
2 years or more directly working as PTA.
On site
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Duties and requirements:
Updated Vaccinations as required by current Public Health Ontario guidelines as required for Health Care Professionals
Work alongside a Physiotherapist and complete delegated acts as directed
See New patient Consultations or follow-ups including taking a history, general physical exam and Rheumatology exam as trained
Initiate non- medical treatments ( eg exercises, orthotics recommendation) and giving patient education after discussing with the supervising physiotherapist.
Fill in Clinical Patient Profiles including, History of Problems, Medical History, Current Medications, Allergies, Family History, etc. for new patients as required by the supervising physiotherapist.
Complete the dictation as directed by the supervising physiotherapist.
Other medical duties as required by your supervising physiotherapist.
