Job Description
Study blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plan the sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
Mark, and outline dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock, according to blueprint or drawing specifications.
Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and use various tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets.
Trim components, parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
Sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.
Repair furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, using clamps or clamping machine.
Assist in cost and material, supply evaluation.
Requirement:
Completion of secondary school education is required.
Minimum 6 months to one year of experience in the field.
