Job Description:
- Unload materials from truck and unroll roofing material.
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
- Install and remove the necessary barriers, ramps, outsourcing, slabs of concrete, risers, and catwalks from construction sites.
- Combine, add and allocate materials like concrete and asphalt.
- Perform emergency leak repairs and general maintenance for a variety of roof types.
- Help with aligning pipes and carry out associated tasks while constructing oil and gas pipelines.
- Grading the ground to precise specifications using a rake and shovel.
- Equip all the roofers with safety equipment, scaffolding, and hoists.
- Attach roofing papers by using nails.
- Cover roofs with layers of roofing felt or asphalt strips before installing tile, slate, or composition materials.
- Provide help in installing boilers, furnaces, air handlers, condensers, water heaters, and ductless splits.
- Help with the destruction of buildings by using pry bars and other equipment, and organize, clean and stack saved materials.
- Organize traffic circulation at or close to building sites.
- Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements:
- No formal education is required.
- Experience is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
