JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated Store Manager - Medical Retail to oversee the operations of our medical retail establishment. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in managing staff, handling product procurement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing customer care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a proactive approach to achieving operational excellence. This position involves responsibilities including staff management, budget planning, customer service improvements, and inventory control, with a focus on meeting patient needs and supporting our community’s health and wellness.

 

JOB TITLE: Store Manager - Medical Retail

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate daily operations in a retail medical setting to ensure compliance and efficient practices.
  • Manage and develop store staff by recruiting, training, and assigning roles to optimize customer care and workflow.
  • Conduct market research to understand patient needs and trends in eye care, adjusting services and pricing accordingly.
  • Select and procure medical products for resale, negotiating with vendors to secure quality products at competitive prices.
  • Develop and manage the store budget, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenue to achieve financial targets.
  • Evaluate and improve patient service, resolving any customer service issues and implementing quality improvement measures.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and implement quality control standards for a safe, compliant environment.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote services and engage with the local community on eye health.
  • Address staffing needs by hiring qualified staff and fostering a positive environment to encourage growth and retention.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • 1-2 years of related experience is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Build positive relationships with team, healthcare providers, and management
  • Quickly troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
  • Communicate effectively with patients, suppliers, and team members
  • Show flexibility and good judgment in daily tasks

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time, Long-term.

 

WAGES:  $35.00/Hour

HOURS OF WORK: 
40 hours per week

 

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.

 

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.
