BluTek Solutions is a British Columbia-based company comprised of Registered Energy Advisors who are deeply committed to helping homeowners improve the efficiency and sustainability of their homes. Our mission is to assist homeowners in both enhancing their homes’ energy performance and achieving their energy-saving goals, all while ensuring they qualify for the Greener Homes Grant and Clean BC rebates. Utilizing our extensive knowledge in building science, we specialize in pre and post-retrofit Home Energy Assessments for both existing and new houses.

 

BluTek Solutions is looking for a Certified Energy Advisor. As an Energy Advisor, you will be responsible for providing energy-efficient solutions to clients, helping them reduce energy consumption and costs. You will analyze energy usage patterns, recommend improvements, and educate customers on sustainable practices.

 

Location: 13500 Maycrest Way, Unit 135, Richmond, BC, V6V 2N8

Salary: $35.50 - $37.50/hour for a 35-hour per week

Type: Full-time, permanent

Benefit: Group Benefit Plan, including dental, vision, health care and extended medical coverage

 

Main duties:

  • Conduct energy audits to assess clients' energy consumption
  • Develop customized energy efficiency plans based on audit findings
  • Recommend and implement energy-saving solutions such as insulation upgrades, lighting retrofits, and renewable energy systems
  • Educate clients on energy conservation practices and available incentives or rebates
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to energy conservation

 

Qualifications:

  • NRCAN Energy Advisor Certificate is required
  • Must have your own transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Criminal Record Check is required
  • At least College diploma in relevant field such as construction, architecture, engineering, HVAC, energy management, etc.
  • Must have experience in conducting energy audits or working in the renewable energy sector
  • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and practices
  • Strong analytical skills to assess energy usage data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
