Job description:
Our family in Markham, Ontario is looking for a Home Support Worker for a female senior.
- Salary: $20.00 per hour
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
- Work Location: 47 Emery Hill Blvd, Markham, ON L6C 2T6;
- Must work in employer's/client's home.
Job Duties:
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to senior.
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk.
- Plan and prepare meals tailored to the senior' needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with family members and supervisors about the senior's health and well-being.
- Provide first-aid or CPR when necessary to ensure the senior's safety.
- Shop for food and household supplies.
Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School (High School) is required.
- Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
- First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset.
- Must be patient, friendly, reliable, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
