POSITION VACANCY

POSITION:                         Continuing Care Assistant / Personal Care Worker

TYPE:                                   Part-Time, Full-Time and Casual

JOB PURPOSE:                  PROVIDES QUALITY CARE TO RESIDENTS

                                             by

                                             Meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents

                                             while promoting their well being.

Villa Acadienne/Villa d ‘la Baie are long term care facilities that has adopted the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care.  We believe in a resident centered care approach and strive to make life for our resident’s worth living.  We’re moving away from a medical model of care and transforming our home into a place where residents can continue to grow and live full lives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

• Nova Scotia Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), or
• Nova Scotia Certification as Personal Care Worker earlier then 2006 and have been working in that capacity for 12 months prior or
• Currently enrolled as an LPN or RN student from a recognized course, or
• Completion of the 1^st four modules of the CCA course with plans to complete CCA program within three years.
