Job description:
Seehra family is looking for a responsible, experienced, and caring individual to look after our two children, aged 9 and 6” at their residence in Surrey, BC, Canada.

Hours: Permanent/Full Time; 40 hr/Week
Language Requirement: English
Qualification: Secondary (High) School graduation certificate.
Experience: Not Required
Wage: C$19.00/hr.
Location: Surrey, BC V3W 1H9

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Monitor children’s activities and provide supervision during play, homework, and their activities.
- Encourage educational activities and provide learning opportunities.
- Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities and outings.
- Encourage physical activities, playtime and creative pursuits.
- Help children develop good personal hygiene habits
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment.
- Offer emotional support and comfort to the children
- Administer medications if needed, following parents’ instructions.
- Provide regular updates to parents about the children’s’ activities, behaviours, and any concerns.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks relating to childcare, such as cleaning up after meals, tidying play area, and doing children’s laundry.
- Assist with routines such as getting dressed, brushing teeth, and having meals.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring they are nutritious and appropriate for the children’s age
- Maintain safe and healthy environment in the home.
- May need to pick or drop kids from school.
- May have to accompany to buy stationary or school related items for school projects.
