experienced and strategic **Head of Human Resources** to lead and transform our HR functions,

ensuring that we continue to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals

and vision.

- Lead HR initiatives that support organizational growth, operational e.iciency, and employee

engagement.

- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on talent management, organizational design,

workforce planning, and HR best practices.

- Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on all HR-related matters, ensuring

alignment with business objectives.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:

- Oversee the recruitment strategy to attract top talent, including local and expatriate sta.,

ensuring the right mix of skills and experience to drive the business forward.

- Ensure that workforce planning is proactive, with a focus on future talent needs and succession

planning, particularly for key technical and leadership roles.

- Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional associations, and recruitment

agencies to promote the company as an employer of choice in the oil and gas sector.

Employee Relations & Organizational Development:

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by overseeing employee relations strategies,

addressing concerns, and ensuring that employee engagement remains high.

- Develop and implement employee retention programs, addressing the needs and aspirations of a

diverse workforce.

- Lead initiatives to build a strong organizational culture that aligns with the company’s values of

integrity, safety, and sustainability.

- Implement programs that drive employee satisfaction and increase retention rates, especially in

high-demand roles and remote field locations.

Performance Management & Learning & Development:

- Oversee the design and execution of a performance management system that supports both

employee and organizational growth.

- Ensure that regular performance evaluations are conducted, with feedback provided to foster a

culture of continuous improvement.

- Establish and drive learning and development strategies to close skill gaps and build a highperforming,

future-ready workforce.

- Champion leadership development programs and succession planning to ensure a pipeline of

future leaders within the company.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Lead the development of competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with

industry standards and ensure internal equity.

- Oversee the management of payroll, employee benefits, and incentive programs to attract and

retain high-performing talent.

- Work with senior management to review and adjust salary structures to remain competitive in the

market, particularly in the high-demand oil and gas sector.

HR Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with Nigerian labor laws and international standards,

including health and safety regulations.

- Actively monitor and manage compliance risks related to employee welfare, workplace safety, and

regulatory requirements.

- Lead audits of HR processes to ensure continuous improvement and legal compliance.

Change Management & Organizational EPectiveness:

- Lead and manage organizational change initiatives, ensuring e.ective communication and

smooth transitions, particularly during restructuring, mergers, or business transformations.

- Ensure the company’s HR processes and systems are aligned with the evolving needs of the

business, driving e.iciency and cost-e.ectiveness.

Health, Safety, and Wellbeing:

- Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) teams to ensure that employee

safety and well-being are prioritized.

- Promote a safe and healthy work environment, particularly in high-risk oil and gas operations, by

ensuring that HR programs support the company’s commitment to zero harm.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related fields (Master’s

degree in HR, MBA, or a related field is a plus).

Experience:

- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership

role.

- Proven track record in strategic HR management, talent acquisition, performance management,

employee relations, and organizational development in a large, multi-site organization.

- Deep knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR practices, as well as an understanding of

international HR standards.

- Strong experience managing both local and expatriate workforces, particularly in remote and

challenging field environments.

Technology Competence:

-The role requires a HRIS Data Administrator with minimum 3-5 years expereince in managing and

maintaining HR systems, preferably Workday and ServiceNow.

-Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, supporting system configuration, generating HR

analytics and reports, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing enhancements to improve

functionality.

-The ideal candidate will have experience with HR data auditing, system integration, and supporting

end-users in navigating HRIS platforms.

-Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and interpret HR data to inform

decision-making are essential.

Skills & Competencies:

- The ideal candidate must be fluent in Yoruba, Creoles, and pidgin both written and spoken. Strong

communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Proficiency in additional languages is a plus and may enhance candidate eligibility.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in navigating complex HR issues.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

- High level of cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse and multicultural

environments.

- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
