Job Description:
Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) and Control Valve (CV) service specialist, based in our Edmonton facility. Centrix has been the authorized Western Canadian Assembler and Distributor of Consolidated PRV valve products in for the last 64 years, and Masoneilan product for the last 25 years. As such, we are privileged to operate a Consolidated Green Tag Center (GTC) and Masoneilan Authorized Repair Center (MARC). Both are regarded as the premier assembly, testing & repair organizations in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly & testing of new Consolidated PRV’s and Masoneilan CV’s to manufacturer and applicable code requirements
- Shop service & repair of all manufacturer of PRV’s through our VR program.
- Shop service & repair of all manufacturer of CV’s through our MARC program.
- Data entry utilizing Centrix based computer programs such as ValvKeep
- Courteous and professional communication with customers, vendors and Centrix Control Solutions team members
- Inspecting, measuring, servicing and testing equipment
- Strict adherence to and cooperation within Centrix Control Solutions Safety Policies and Procedures
- General shop maintenance and up keep including storage, equipment clean-up and shipping/receiving as needed
Skills Requirements:
- PRV and/or CV service experience is a must
- Data entry abilities utilizing ERP BAR90
- Ability and willing to travel for Western Canada field service
- Ability to travel internationally for manufacturer certified training
- Able to adhere to and pass customer drug & alcohol testing
- Willing to advance and grow
- Able to demonstrate strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
- Proficient in use of calibrated measurement devices
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone with minimal supervision
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop
- Strong problem-solving ability with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and write English clearly
Education Requirements:
- Technical training certificate in Instrumentation Engineering or Industrial Automation.
- Completed manufacturers course for Consolidated PRV’s a definite asset
Additional requirements:
- Valid Class 5 drivers license minimum
- Current forklift training certificate
