Welder, construction
Salary $35.00 per hour, permanent, regular, full time 30-40 hours per week
Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, Experience: 2-3 years of experience in welding in commercial, institutional, industrial, residential setting of aluminum, steel, iron, heavy metals, stainless steel. Personal suitability: flexibility, organized, team player, punctuality, hardworking. able to work in physically demanding environment, manual dexterity, attention to details, hand-eye co-ordination, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Responsibilities
Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC). Able to use welding techniques such as: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), (TIG), Multipass. Area of specialization: machine parts, structural components.
