Archipelago Foods is an importer and distributor of Indonesian food and beverage products in Canada. Established since 2020, we focus on curating Indonesian best products to provide a healthier option to Canadians. Our products are available in more than 40 locations of major retailers. The company is growing and is on its way to have distribution channels in Quebec and Ontario. We are seeking an Operations Manager to help us with this growth.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Establish policies, control budgets, and optimize expenses to increase operational efficiency.
- Oversee sourcing, purchasing, contract management, inventory management, warehouse management, logistics and distribution.
- To expand the business operations and establish distribution channels in Quebec, Ontario and other provinces.
- To hire and supervise middle managers and staff in handling operations.
- Set and achieve high standards and goals of operational performance.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Establish and manage strong relationship with vendors, suppliers, buyers, and other external parties.
- Collaborate with other department in building marketing strategy and events, including promoting e-commerce growth.
- Responsible for the execution of sales and promotional events, including participation in market events, exhibitions and trade shows.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational plans and goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills Requirements:
- 10+ years of leadership experiences in managerial level.
- Working knowledge in international trade and logistics.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Proven record of building and managing high-performing team.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fast learning to adapt to any ERP system.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to speak and write in Indonesian is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business / supply chain management
- CIFFA Certification
