Salary: $42.25 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Continuously analyze network traffic to detect suspicious activities and unauthorized access, ensuring the integrity and security of company data.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents to identify root causes, assess damage, and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and enforce security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive information, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in the network, providing actionable recommendations for strengthening security measures.
- Quickly respond to security breaches by containing threats, analyzing impact, and coordinating recovery efforts to minimize disruption and data loss.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, continuously updating security strategies to counteract new vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Set up and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security appliances to protect network perimeters from external threats.
- Consult with clients following a sale to deliver ongoing assistance and ensure their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
- Create, update, and communicate security policies and procedures to employees, promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness throughout the organization.
- Assess potential security risks by analyzing vulnerabilities and threats, providing management with insights to make informed decisions on risk mitigation.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security tools, ensuring they are up to date and configured to detect and prevent threats effectively.
Eligibility Requirements:
- This position requires College/CEGEP in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network security, IT security, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams.
- Basic programming or scripting skills for automation of tasks is required.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of network protocols and architectures is preferred.
- Knowledge of current threat landscape and ability to analyze potential security threats.
- Ability to respond to and manage security incidents, including analyzing breaches and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
