Position: Floor Coverer Helper
Type of employment: Full-Time

Work Location: Various locations in Lower mainland (BC).

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare floors for new flooring by cleaning them, removing old flooring, and disposing of it properly.
- Load and unload materials and tools from work vehicles, and transport construction materials as needed.
- Assist with measuring and cutting flooring materials.
- Prepare adhesives, mortars, or other binders according to specifications.
- Assist in laying out and installing various flooring materials like carpet, vinyl, laminate, wood, or tile.
- Fit materials around obstacles and measure room dimensions, using tools like staple guns, glue spreaders, and trowels.
- Clean the work surface of dust, debris, and obstructions.
- Follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and specifications.
- Assist in addressing customer inquiries and concerns during the installation process while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Clean up installation scraps, tools, and other debris after completion and inspect the installed floor for defects or issues.
- Perform other activities on construction sites, as directed.
Job Requirements
- No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to engage in manual labor, including lifting and carrying materials.
- Excellent team player with good English communication skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Adherence to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
